About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Underwriting Assistant – Insurance Support Specialist to join our clients team in Alpharetta, GA. This position supports all lines of production underwriters, including Commercial P&C, Personal Lines, Workers Comp, and Transportation. As part of our clients Service Center team, you will play a crucial role in handling binders, endorsements, and other essential tasks to ensure seamless policy support.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize new and renewal folders with all necessary documents for binding policies.
- Issue binders, endorsements, and invoices on new and renewal business in line with departmental service standards.
- Order inspections per company guidelines or underwriter directives.
- Maintain a diary to track and secure supporting documents as required by carrier guidelines.
- Send supporting documents at binding and process carrier endorsements as requested.
- Review applications at policy issuance to ensure they match quoted coverage and forms.
- Confirm the accuracy of rating worksheets and quoted premiums.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Prior work experience with an MGA is highly preferred.
- Knowledge and experience handling binders required (not entry-level).
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem resolution and research skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
